Joe Nasco of Colorado Rapids is now the record holder of the fastest red card in MLS history after he was sent off the pitch 34 seconds into the game.

The match between Colorado rapids and LA Galaxy was played on Friday where LA Galaxy won 6-0 against their rivals. The early red card triggered the loss after Joe Nasco brought down LA striker, Alan Gordon in the first chance of the match.

However, the 30 year old goal keeper who was formerly a police man and made his debut in MLS 6 days earlier says he is not proud to be the holder of such a record.

Carlos Johnson a defender of New York Red Bulls was the previous holder of the fastest red card after receiving the card in the second minute when they were playing against sporting KC back in the year 2009.
