With the summer transfer window still open, here are the biggest completed transactions that have taken place thus far.

VICTOR WANYAMA
From: Southampton
To: Tottenham
Price: €13.5m
Position: Defensive midfield

The Kenya international was always a target of EPL top sides after establishing himself as one of Ronald Koeman’s best weapon with the Saints. The bulky midfielder was integral as they finished 7th and 6th in the last 2 seasons and will definitely bring power to Maurice Pochettino’s side. Mousa Dembele’s latest injury worries will mean there is less load on him, and that’s pertinent with the club playing as much as 3 games in a week.

ALVARO MORATA
From: Juventus
To: Real Madrid
Price: €30m
Position: Forward

This was always going to happen, and having impressed at the Euros, his worth is definitely set to increase. Chelsea has been touted as the next destination for the young Spanish striker. Arsenal are also said to be interested. But he won’t be coming for cheap for whoever wants his services.

NICOLAS GAITAN
From: Benfica
To: Atletico Madrid
Price: €25m
Position: Midfield

The Argentina international was always going to make that big move from the Portuguese giants, but Manchester United was thought to be his destination after several links every other transfer window since 2014. Simeone has taken the smart step to snatch him, and it will interest many to see what the 28-year-old veteran has to offer Atletico.

RAPHAEL GUERREIRO
From: Lorient
To: Borussia Dortmund
Price: €12m
Position: Left Back

Not the most popular left back out there, but his quality is top notch, and its understandable why he hasn’t been in the news as much. The Portuguese has been spectacular for his side at the Euros, and completing the move from the Ligue 1 minnows is definitely a great one for his career.

MIRALEM PJANIC
From: Roma
To: Juventus
Price: €38m
Position: Midfield

Roma couldn’t keep hold of their star midfielder for long. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international definitely will add plenty of depth to the Old Lady. It could be that they are preparing for Pogba’s departure, and Miralem is a suitable replacement given how good he is.

ILKAY GUNDOGAN
From: Borussia Dortmund
To: Manchester City
Price: €28m
Position: Midfield

Pep began his Manchester City career with the signing of the highly talented Bundesliga hot cake. The Germany international was always tipped with linking up with his former handler, Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, but it seems Guardiola had other plans. Gundogan will definitely take the EPL by storm given his standout quality.

GRANIT XHAKA
From: Borussia Monchengladbach
To: Arsenal
Price: €45m
Position: Defensive Midfield

Even his penalty miss that saw Switzerland get evicted from the Euros doesn’t remove a pint from his quality. The Swiss definitely is a good buy by the Gunners, and he will definitely add enough depth. 2 man of the match awards at France just prove how good he’s at dictating play.

OUSMANE DEMBELE
From: Rennes
To: Borussia Dortmund
Price: €8m
Position: Midfield/Wing

The youngster at a time had more than 10 clubs hoping to get him. Barcelona, Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester United and PSG just to mention a few, but having been satisfied by the approach of the German giants, he put pen to paper for a 5-year deal.

RENATO SANCHES
From: Benfica
To: Bayern Munich
Price: €35m
Position: Midfield

The clear favorite to win the best young player of the European Championships, the teenage Portugal international only started playing club football at senior level last November. He was a subject of transfer battle that saw the Red Devils miss out at the last minute. Regularly compared with a young Cristiano Ronaldo, the 18-year-old will hope to live up to the hype at the Signal Iduna Park.

MATS HUMMELS
From: Borussia Dortmund
To: Bayern Munich
Price: €38m
Position(s): Central Back

The Germany international made a surprise move to Munich, much to ire of Dortmund faithfuls. An exit was always on the book after many years at the club, but not many saw him returning to the Allianz Arena despite having played his youth football at the side.

Paul Koroma

I learned all about life with a ball at my feet. Soccer allows me to push the limitation of creativity and express myself without saying a word. Soccer is my addiction. I train. I play, and I repeat every single day.
