Barcelona and Uruguay forward Luis Suarez has described his move to Barcelona as unbelievable as it fulfilled his childhood dream to be part of the Blaugrana. Suarez moved to Barcelona from Liverpool in the summer with transfer fee of 88 million euros.
He has played just 3 games for Barcelona due to ban resulting from biting Giorgio Chiellini during the world cup 2014. Although he is still banned from playing for his country Uruguay until next year’s Copa America, the European golden boot winner is enjoying life at Barcelona.
“For me, it is the ultimate dream to play for Barca,” the Striker told Fox Sports.
“When I was little and travelled to Barcelona I looked in stores with items from the club, and now I do not believe it. It doesn’t seem like reality.” The 27 year old also described his two goals against England in the World Cup as the most joyful moments of his life. “The two goals I scored against England were the most enjoyable of my career.” Suarez said.
“They laughed at me when I had surgery [before the World Cup] and I said ‘recover… but slowly’. I cried with joy for that, and for my family.”
Suarez also expressed his disappointment after being left of Ballon d’or shortlist although he scored 31 goals for Liverpool last season to claim league’s top scorer and best player award as well as European Golden Boot award along with Cristiano Ronaldo.
