Former Dutch star Frank De Boer has criticized Netherlands manager Guus Hiddink for his management of the team and wants him to be replaced by his assistant. Lately, the orange’s thrashed Latvia 6-0 in a Euro16 qualifier. But they have endured a poor Euro16 qualifying campaign so far, shockingly losing to Iceland and Czech Republic.
The Orange’s sit 3rd in group A, picking with only 6 points of their 4 games. Netherlands also lost to Mexico 3-2 in a friendly match and then the manager surprisingly went with a very different team against Latvia leaving the likes of Memphis Depay on the bench.
Ajax manager De Boer sees his management difficult to understand and wants to see his assistant Danny Blind as the new head coach of the Dutch National team. Guus Hiddink took over the reigns during the summer after highly successful Louis Van Gaal left for Manchester United.
“Guus Hiddink has lost it.” De Boer told Fox Sports.
“Normally a coach has an idea, he wants a to go in a certain direction. But then he takes them in a completely different direction. Against Mexico, he plays with a defence that he then decides is no longer good enough to play against Latvia. What kind of logic is that?”
