Brendan Rodgers, Liverpool boss claims that Daniel Sturridge, one of his key players might miss the remaining matches this season. As Liverpool continue to display dismal performance compared to last season, Rodgers is highly expected to give striker signing the first priority in the coming transfer window.
Rumors have it that Liverpool is eyeing Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven and Danny Lngs from Burnley.
Liverpool has struggled in a couple of matches following Sturridge absence who has been out of the pitch following several injuries he picked this season. He picked up yet another injury on 22nd March during a premier league match against 4th placed Manchester United.
Liverpool boss acknowledged that the 25 year old star might not feature in any of the 5 final matches this season following a hip injury.
He also added that Daniel is a brilliant player who is always willing to play, but this season was just a setback for him. ‘’we will have to monitor him day by day and see where he is at’’ Rodgers said. He is considerate about bringing him back in the pitch, but on consistent basis after he has fully recovered. That might be at the far end of this season or during the preseason matches.
