Eastern conference semifinals are still underway as New York Red Bulls expects to travel to RFK stadium for a return match against host team, DC United.
Considering the fact that supporters play a significant role in any football match, Red bulls have given their soccer fans the first priority in the match expected to go down during the weekend.
More than 1,000 fans from New York will be traveling to the nation’s capital in a move of supporting their team. During the first leg match, Red Bulls won 2 goals to nil at home and they are expecting to defend the aggregate lead on Saturday.
A red bull’s spokesman told the media that the club will be helping their fans to travel to RFK as well as fighting to maintain the allocated tickets. Eric Rios, a member of Empire supporters’ club board told empireofsoccer.com that it was quite amazing to see the passionate fans fill more than 10 buses to support their team in the away match.
More fanatics are also expected to make the 217 miles trip with cars on Saturday. Peguy Luyindula and Bradley Wright Phillips are among the players to watch during the match after registering a score each during the first leg match.
