The second episode of the documentary about the career and life of Neymar Jr. that was recently released has raised shown the time when he visited Madrid in order to give a trial for Los Blancos.
When he was 13 years old, Neymar was invited the trial and he formed a part of Real Madrid’s youth team’s plans for the 2005/06 campaign, which would have seen him play with Dani Carvajal and Pablo Sarabia, amongst others.
As reported by Marca, during that time, he was part of a documentary which has now brought to light new images of the Brazilian in Madrid. He was photographed at Valdebebas, both inside and outside of the Santiago Bernabeu, and in the dressing room, seated where four of the Brazilians would sit at the time: Julio Baptista, Ronaldo Nazario, Robinho and Cicinho.
During that phase and age of Neymar’s life, his father Neymar Sr. put pressure on Santos, the club where his son was playing, as he wanted special treatment for Neymar Jr. and his family who were struggling financially.
Between the president of the Brazilian side and Zito, who discovered Neymar, they ended up holding onto the player and convincing his father.
Initially, they offered the then 13-year-old Neymar a long-term contract, something that was initially declined. However, the player ended up signing his first contract with Santos compensating the family financially as they were given an apartment near their training ground.
