Rafa Benitez & Dalian Yifang
It’s been a busy summer for Rafa Benitez, following his recent departure from Newcastle United.
After three seasons at St James’ Park, Benitez left the Toon when his contract expired.
Benitez has since revealed he left Newcastle because “it became increasingly clear to me that those at the top of the Club did not share the same vision.”

It’s not taken long for Benitez to find new employment, as he’s agreed to become the manager of Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang.
West Ham, Newcastle & Salomon Rondon
Along with Benitez, Salomon Rondon has also left Newcastle United this summer.
Rondon spent the 2018-19 season on loan with the Magpies from West Brom.
Having recently competed at the Copa America with Venezuela, Rondon is now working out his next career move.
Both West Ham and Newcastle have been linked with permanent deals for Rondon.
However, according to the Sunday Times, Rondon is set to reunite with Benitez in China:
Salomon Rondon is poised to become Rafa Benitez’s first signing for Dalian Yifang.
West Brom cannot afford to keep the striker after losing in the playoffs and failing in their attempt to win promotion back to the Premier League.
Benitez capturing Rondon, the scorer of 12 goals for Newcastle, would be a blow to West Ham, who were interested in acquiring the player, as well as to Newcastle.
What will Newcastle’s attack look like in 2019-20?
Right now that’s unclear.
However, what seems certain is that Newcastle will have a wholly new attack this season.
Last week Newcastle agreed to sell Ayoze Perez to Leicester for 30 million pounds.
