Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport is reporting that top European clubs are hot on the trail of Atalanta full-back Andrea Conti.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a season to remember, scoring 8 goals and setting up another 5, becoming one of league’s hottest commodities in the process.

Tuttosport claims that Atletico Madrid recently had a €14 million proposal rejected for the talented defender, as Atalanta seem determined to keep hold of their prized asset.

Numerous Italian sides are keeping close tabs on Conti as well, with Napoli and Juventus believed to be leading the chase, and Milan rivals also in the mix.

Atalanta are determined to keep hold of the squad that secured European qualification with a top 5 finish, and the full-back does not appear to be for sale.

Andrea Conti is the product of club’s famous youth academy and he has so far made 45 Serie A outings for Orobici.
