North London club, Tottenham gave the title a hot chase last term and were breathing down Leicester City’s neck until 3 games to go. They however lost momentum and a final match day defeat against Newcastle saw them lose 2nd place to Arsenal. The side’s coach, Maurice Pochettino has looked past the disappointment and is already preparing for the new season. The club is ready to spend big in the summer transfer windows, and as much as 13 players have been linked with White Hart Lane arrivals.

The 25-year-old is said to be valued over £30million, and has a couple of clubs in the race to land him. West Ham particularly have been constantly linked with the French forward, and he was once linked with United.
Algeria international and Lisbon striker, Islam Slamini is also being linked with Tottenham. After notching 31 goals in 46 appearances for the Portuguese giants last season, he has seen the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Leicester attracted to him. He won’t be coming cheap as the club has already rejected £20million bids from the aforementioned clubs. But Basel’s Breel Embolo could arrive for that amount. The 19-year-old Swiss striker has caught the eyes of everyone with his strength and eye for goal. 20 league goals in 56 games for his side at his age have seen him attract the likes of Manchester United also.
Palermo forward, Franco Vazquez is also one player Tottenham are keeping tabs on. The Serie A club’s president, Maurizio Zamparini revealed that he asked the North London side to pay £19.5million for Vazquez’s signature. They however face competition from United as Mourinho is said to be keen of the lethal forward.
Sparta Moscow’s Quincy Promes is also on the radar, alongside Roma’s Antonio Sanabria who spent last season at Sporting Gijon. Both have been personally contacted by Pochettino, with the Argentine in attendance during a Netherlands game that featured Promes. The former Twente forward has scored 31 goals in 58 games for the Russian side. Sanabria who is being targeted by the likes of Leicester and Barcelona was personally phone called by the Tottenham coach.
