Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm will be out for three month due to ankle injury. Lahm went down on the training ground in the morning on Tuesday and needed help to be taken from the field before heading to the hospital. Regular scans have revealed the injury, which Bayern previously feared te be serious.

“Bayern remains hampered by injury problems,”  a club statement began.

“During the public workout on Tuesday morning, Bayern captain Philipp Lahm had to abort the morning session. The 31 year old went down on the ground holding his right foot under no opponent challenge and he was then taken from the training pitch on a golf cart.”

The bundesliga leader later confirmed via twitter:  “Big blow for Philipp Lahm. The german international suffered an severe ankle injury. He needs an operation and will be out for about 2 months.”

Lahm has be sensational with Bayern Munich in all competitions, even for the germany, its is very big blow for both the sides. Lahm has be quit a key player for Germany and Bayern Munich as his absence will be a problem. Lahm has played 18 match in all competitions for this season, scoring two goals.
