After expressing his desire to leave Chelsea, goalkeeper Petr Cech is interested in playing for either Arsenal, Paris-Saint Germain, or Manchester United, his agent said
According to agent Viktor Kolar, Cech is currently considering the possibility of him playing in any of the three teams that are closely linked to him once he does move out of Stamford Bridge this summer. “Petr has a valid contract with his current club, however, I can confirm that we have been ‘permitted’ by Chelsea to negotiate with interested parties and Petr has confirmed his interest to play regularly at a top club,” Kolar revealed
The long-time goalkeeper has earlier said that he wants to leave Chelsea after feeling that he has lost his place as primary goal defender in favour of the younger Thibaut Courtois.
However, when asked about Cech’s potential transfer to their side, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to make a comment, saying that they will only deal with transfer talks after the current football season is officially over.
On the other hand, United were a bit clearer in their stance, with manager Louis van Gaal admitting they are currently looking for a replacement should main keeper David De Gea decide to leave. De Gea himself has earlier expressed his desire to move out of his current club. De Gea is said to be currently considering the offer of Real Madrid.
Kolar also hinted the possibility of Cech setting out for overseas, as he said that Turkish ballclub Besiktas is interested in getting the 32-year old, with the team opening preliminary talks with him.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho admits that, while he wants Cech to stay, he has no control over the eventual outcome. The Blues’ boss pointed out that he has no real power to block a potential move. Mourinho has earlier expressed that, if he had it his way, he would want to have Cech to stay.
