In an entertaining match between New England revolution and real salt lake, the unexpected happened when the visiting team was beaten 4 goals without any response.

There were many predictions but, not of such a big goal difference. Gillette stadium had thousands of fans on Saturday night as New England welcomed RSL. From the start, New England seemed to play more cohesively pulling creative passes and making a number of attempts.

They dominated the match in the first half and their efforts were rewarded in the 39th minute when Chris Tierney curled in the ball from the top left side of RSL box.

3 minutes later, Juan Agudelo found the back of the net following a rebound from Charlie Davies efforts that were blocked by Jeff Attinella. Five minutes in to the second half, the host did not hesitate to add the 3rd goal when Davies headed in a perfect cross from his counterpart Scott Caldwell.

More opportunities followed, but Attinella, RSL goal keeper kept the ball off the net with a total of 9 saves in the match. In the 84th minute, he pulled yet another superb save from Neumann’s efforts, but the ball went direct to Scott Caldwell who netted in the fourth goal and his first goal in MLS career.

Paul Koroma

I learned all about life with a ball at my feet. Soccer allows me to push the limitation of creativity and express myself without saying a word. Soccer is my addiction. I train. I play, and I repeat every single day.
