France Football is reporting that Marseille are in pole position to sign Colombian striker Carlos Bacca from AC Milan.

The experienced footballer was on the verge of leaving even before the Rossoneri recruited Andre Silva, and he is now certain to quit San Siro.

French giants Marseille are ready to offer the Colombia star an escape route from Milan and they have already established initial contact with his agents.

Carlos Bacca did fairly well since joining AC Milan from Sevilla, scoring 31 goals in 70 Serie A appearances, but he never managed to establish himself as an undisputed starter.

The Colombian now has a chance to become an integral part of Marseille’s ambitious project, and chances are he will be interested in hearing what they have to offer.
