Catalan daily newspaper Mundo Deportivo has suggested that Manchester United are hot on the trail of Benfica full-back Nelson Semedo.

The Red Devils recently completed the capture of Victor Lindelof and it appears that his former teammate at Estadio da Luz could now follow in his footsteps.

Namely, Manchester United have launched a fresh assault on highly rated defender Nelson Semedo and reportedly offered €35 million for his services.

Even though Benfica are holding out for €40 million, everything suggests an agreement will be reached soon.

Nelson Semedo, 23, has developed into one of Europe’s hottest prospects in recent years and he looks set to complete a big club move in the summer transfer window.
