Ouest France is reporting that Lyon have emerged as favourites to sign Angers winger Nicolas Pepe.

Marseille, Nice and some Premier League sides have all been casting admiring glances towards the 21-year-old footballer, but latest reports claim les Gones have the upper hand.

Lyon have just agreed to sell Mathieu Valbuena to Fenerbahce and Pepe could be arriving as his replacement.

It is believed that Angers want around €10 million for his services, and it would appear as though les Gones are close to agreeing a deal with their Ligue 1 rivals.

Despite managing just 3 goals and 1 assist in 33 league outings last term, Pepe has been one of league’s most sought-after footballers this summer and he is now set for a big club move.
