Belgium and Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has avoided a serious punishment by the referee as well as FA over deliberate use of his arm on an oppponent.
In Belgium’s recent euro 16 qualifier against Wales, he landed his elbow on Liverpool and Wales Midfielder Joe Allen’s face, in an attempt to win the ball.
A mismatch of size, Fellaini 6”4 against Allen who stand at just 5”6 feet, left the Welsh midfielder in some pain and a bleeding nose. However, felliani is fortunate to escape any charges by FA over his use of violent conduct against the opponent as the FA said that they did not receive anything relating to the incident in a match report provided by the referees.
It is not the first time that Fellaini has been involved in such incidents.
Previously he was yellow carded by the referee, while being accused of deliberate use of his arm against Pablo Zabaleta in a league match against Manchester City, as well in the United’s first game he was guilty of trying to smash Swansea city midfielder Ki sung-yeung with his arm but this time Ki was yellow carded.
Previously, he was also highly criticized when he was found spiting on Manchester city’s pair Pablo Zabaleta and Sergio Aguero.
