Lee Nguyen scored a brace last Thursday to boost his reputation at MLS this season and also got the player of the week title. Lee became the first New England revolution player to get the title in 2014.

North American soccer reporters announced lee title on Monday after he managed to bag a brace during their 2-1 victory against Houston dynamo last Thursday.

Nguyen helped his team come from a 1-0 loss in the first half to change the score sheet with a perfect strike in the 65th minute.

3 minutes before the final whistle, he had a perfect opportunity to showcase his skills hence managed to add the winning goal sending revolution fans into passionate cheers.

The brace gave him the 18th goal this season of which 8 of them are winning goals that have seen England revolution get to greater heights this season.

Thursday’s win helped New England revolution get a 2nd position in the eastern conference playoff. Colombus crew on the other hand managed to beat New York Red Bulls 3 goals to one, which happened to be an embarrassing defeat for the bulls at home.

The crew are also in the race for playoffs with the help of young player including Ethan Finlay and wil Trapp.
