Manchester United v Everton - Premier League

Italy’s win over Belgium at the ongoing European Championships has given us a glimpse of some of the things to expect from Conte as Chelsea’s coach next season. The club won’t necessarily get all the best players in every position in order to contest for the titles, it would simply be a thing of formation and tactics deployed in order to win the games. The former Juve coach is now being linked with arriving the Bridge with a couple of his Azzurri stars, while the club continues to pursue signings ahead of what should be a comeback season for the disgraced EPL champions of the season before.

Southampton’s Graziano Pelle is being linked surprisingly with a transfer to Chelsea in order to link up with his national team coach according to Bet Stars. The striker notched his side’s 2nd goal in the victory over Belgium, and a move to the West London side appears to be on the cards with Conte interested in having the striker also work under him at club level. Diego Costa’s future has being in doubt after an average performance last term, and the axed Spain international has been strongly linked with a return to the Vicente Calderon. The likes of Remy, Falcao and Pato aren’t likely to remain when Conte takes charge for next season, and we could be seeing Pelle lead the Blues attack.

His national teammate at the Old Trafford, Matteo Darmian might also be joining him at Chelsea. The right-back looks to fit perfectly into Conte’s use of a 5-man midfield that sees Darmian play as a full back and winger concurrently. That was evident in his performance against Belgium, and he too could link up with the former Juve handler next term. His chances of remaining at the Old Trafford are low, with Mourinho looking for a replacement and willing to let him go. Bleacher Reports believe Chelsea might just be his next destination. The 26-year-old might be an outcast at United after losing his starting berth last season, but he looks set to have things working for him with a new destination in sight.

Although Thibaut Courtois will likely remain at Chelsea, same can’t be said of his understudy, Asmir Begovic. The Bosnian could be replaced by French veteran goalie, Steve Mandanda. The club is said to be holding discussions with the Marseille legend as he is out of contract at the French side. Mandanda has always expressed the desire to play in the EPL, and he is also being linked with Everton. But the Blues might pip the Liverpool club to the signature of the France international shot stopper.

Another French player who could also arrive is West Ham star, Dimitri Payet. The 29-year-old scored his country’s winning goal against Romania in the opener, and has seen his stock rise after great and consistent displays for both club and country over the last few months. Though a move away from the Hammers isn’t necessarily on the books, his agent has claimed a ridiculous (high amount) might just be enough to tempt all parties involved into agreeing a move for the Stamford Bridge-linked set piece master.

I learned all about life with a ball at my feet. Soccer allows me to push the limitation of creativity and express myself without saying a word. Soccer is my addiction. I train. I play, and I repeat every single day.
