The liver pool chief executive has described how George Gillet and Tom Hicks days at Anfield taught him a lesson on respecting the clubs value and sustainability in the long run.

The previous owner of the reds led the club to a challenging leverage buy out which has taken Fenway sports Group the new owner of the club approximately 4 years to get things back on track.

Ian claims that there was a lot to be done including the expense of improving the squad. All this had to be done when the club had little money yet with a lot of debt. With the progressive move, Ian believes that Liverpool is entering in to a new phase.
