The FIFA’s executive committee has agreed to vote for the ban that restricts third parties to own players. Investors who have been gaining some profits from the players transfers will face a blow from the ban. Sepp Blatter, FIFA’s president says that a group have been selected to draft rules that will see the ban effected.

The president claims that the ban cannot be effected immediately and there will be a transition period to make it effective. Despite the fact that FIFA forbids investors influence on players transfer, third party owners are known to significantly influence the transfer polices.

However, the decision which was made on Friday is seen to be a political victory for UEFA where the president Michel Platini had always urged FIFA to act. This kind of ownership was also banned in England when Carlos Tevez Joined West Ham 2006.
