Edinson Cavani was sent off in a Ligue 1 game against Lens after accumulating two yellows in the game. Cavani was among the scorers in the game who helped the Paris Saint Germain side won 3-1. Cavani was initially booked for making a strange celebration of shooting a gun with his hands after he scored the goal. He then grabbed the arm of the referee in retaliation which led the Referee to add another yellow to send off the player.

PSG won the match comfortably against the 9-men Lens side. The game was held at the Stade de France stadium because of renovation work going on at the Lens’s Bollaert stadium. Adama Coulibaly had given the Lens side the lead in the 10th minute through a 20-yard shot. However, Cabaye scored in the 28th minute to level the scores.

Maxwell added another in the first half to give the Paris side the lead. Cavani then won and scored a penalty in the second half after Jean-Philippe Gbamin had fouled the Uruguayan in the penalty area. Gbamin was sent off for the offense which also saw Le Moigne sent off just before the hour mark. The suspension that follows the red card means that PSG will be without Zlatan Ibrahamovich who is out injured and Edinson Cavani for their Champion’s league match.

I learned all about life with a ball at my feet. Soccer allows me to push the limitation of creativity and express myself without saying a word. Soccer is my addiction. I train. I play, and I repeat every single day.
