After being held at a 1-1 draw by red devils during the weekend, Jose mourinho had to reorganize his squad and prepare for a capital one match against Shrewbury.

The match went down on Tuesday where the blues had to work hard to sweep all three points and secure a place in the quarterfinals. Shrewbury displayed an impressive performance denying Chelsea any score in the first 45 minutes.

However, during the second half, Chelsea outmuscled their opponents and Drogba managed to score the leading goal for the premier league leaders 3 minutes in to the second half. The host were not disappointed with the loss and they continued to mount pressure on their visitors.

Their efforts translated to the score sheet when they got an equalizer in the 77th minute when Andy Mangan a substitute scored 84 seconds after he came on. In the 81st minute, the shrews were disappointed following Jermaine Grandson own goal that gave Chelsea the winning goal to wrap up the match at 2-1 in favor of Mou.

After sparing Chelsea blushes, Mourinho did not hesitate to praise his old boy, Drogba for his impressive performance during the match. Costa is expected to feature on Saturday’s match against QPR after recovering from groin and hamstring problems.
