Despite a recent fine run of form that has seen them win their last 5 games hands down, Chelsea aren’t resting on their oars as the side’s manager is looking at adding more depth to his squad.

The team looks perfect at the moment, and a lot would wonder why additions come January are needed or necessary.

However, Conte sure knows what area his team comes short most, and quality backups and options would be way to go.

Following recent transfer links and rumours, here are 5 players said to be on the club radar, who could make a Stamford Bridge switch come the turn of the year.

Felipe Anderson

The Brazilian Olympic Gold winner currently lines up for Serie A outfits Lazio and has always caught the attention of Conte.

A former Santos star and only 23, Anderson is a key player in Lazio having appeared in every Serie A game of the season and has a goal to his credit. While he also played just 3 games short of a complete campaign last season where he scored 7 times.

Conte eyes a swoop for the attacking midfielder come winter, but he wouldn’t come quite cheap given he has 2 more years on his current deal.

Where he would fit in

Despite primarily being an attacking midfielder on the right wing, Anderson has been deployed as a wing back as of recent, and could provide some cover and stiff rivalry for Victor Moses in the position.

Brace yourself Chelsea fans as this is one guy who will always be in the news as long as Conte remains in the Stamford Bridge.

Having worked together with one of the finest central halves – the best according to a certain Pep Guardiola, at both club and country level before his arrival, it is only right for Conte to want to continue a working relationship that has yielded so much great results.

A summer move fell through, and the 29-year-old extended his contract with Juventus amidst the transfer talks linking him away. Unfortunately for the Old Lady, that hasn’t kept the Pensioners away and a winter move is in offing.

Where he would fit in

The 23-year-old Inter Milan midfielder and Croatia international continues to attract the big clubs due to his splendid form at San Siro.

A £21million deal was supposedly sealed in August for the player, while he was also subject to a summer transfer deadline day move, but apparently, nothing emerged as contract talks weren’t concluded.

Chelsea are said to be willing to meet his wages demands, and just maybe something could work out in winter.

Where he would fit in

This is the one player who could displace Matic in the lineup given his mobility.

Would be interesting to see how that goes.

The box-to-box and powerful French midfielder is another Inter Milan player under Chelsea’s radar.

The 23-year-old arrived San Siro from Monaco just last summer and has fallen out in the pecking order despite his quality and €31million transfer fee.

Kondogbia has appeared in just 5 Serie A fixtures and isn’t comfortable with his lack of regular football. Besides, the team’s poor run could see him force a move away or agree to one come January.

Where he would fit in

The dfensive midfielder doesn’t look like one that can displace Kante though he can give his compatriot a run for the money.

So we are left with only one other role he could fit – Matic’s.

Boy! The Serb has a lot of quality to prove next year.

The defender missed out on the European Championships via injury and couldn’t concentrate on transfer issues over the summer as he was rather trying to get back playing.

One of Roma’s integral players, he has been in fine form for the Italian giants this term but has had his injury troubles surface again.

However, a £35million bid for the 23-year-old big centre back is reportedly being prepared as Conte plans to beef up his defence for the second half of the season.

Where he would fit in

Being able to play in left back, the Germany international looks like one that would fit perfectly into the left side of the 3-man Chelsea defence.
