Barcelona won their Champion’s League tie against Ajax comfortable to go second in the Group table. This was a good warm up for the Barcelona side who play Real Madrid over the weekend for the first of the El Classico’s this season.

Neymar started the scoring for the home side from a pass by Messi to give them the lead at Nou Camp. This is the Brazilian’s seventh goal in last five appearances for Barcelona. Messi also got his goal in the first half when he converted an accurate pass by Andres Iniesta into the Ajax net.  The goal now puts Messi in touch of Raul’s record of all time leading goal scorer in Champion’s League. He needs 2 more goals to equal the record of 71 goals.

Barcelona being too complacent and comfortable caused the Ajax side to hit back one late in the second half. El Ghazi scored to salvage some pride for the Dutch side. However, Sandro Ramirez scored in injury time to wrap up a comfortable night at Camp Nou.

Neymar and Messi partnership has been outstanding this season and they have been creating and scoring goals for each other which is a very good sign for Luis Enrique’s side. They needed a win after their loss against Paris St. Germain and they looked like a real side creating chances and scoring goals. Paris St. Germain lead the group with even points from 3 games.

I learned all about life with a ball at my feet. Soccer allows me to push the limitation of creativity and express myself without saying a word. Soccer is my addiction. I train. I play, and I repeat every single day.
