Spanish media outlet Marca has suggested that Barcelona may have to break the bank to sign PSG playmaker Marco Verratti.

It is no secret that the Catalans are hot on the trail of the Italian footballer, but they were well aware of the Saints’ refusal to negotiate the sale.

However, after the player informed the club chiefs that he wanted out, Barcelona appear to be readying a mega money offer for his services.

Nevertheless, Marca claims that it would take between €80 million and €100 million to secure Verratti’s signature, so it remains to be seen whether the two clubs will be able to reach an agreement.

The player’s agent recently hinted that Juventus could be a viable destination for his client as well, but it would appear as though Barcelona lead the chase at the moment.
