Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha has suggested that Arsenal are readying summer bid for FC Porto midfielder Yacine Brahimi.

The Gunners have been hot on the trail of the Algerian footballer for quite some time and they seem ready to step up their interest.

According to reports, Arsenal are weighing up a €40 million bid for Brahimi, who had been linked with quite a few top clubs in the past.

The 27-year-old is currently on vacation with international teammate Riyad Mahrez, and he may have an important decision to make when he returns.

Brahimi has shown a great deal of potential during a three-year spell with FC Porto, scoring 20 goals in 83 Primeira Liga outings.

However, it appears that he will be leaving Estadio do Dragao for greener pastures in the summer transfer window.
